The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) hasn't finished evaluating the 2024 Camry, but it did well in its frontal and rollover testing, earning five stars. It received a top score of Good in four crash tests, a Marginal score in one, and a best score of Superior for its front crash prevention system (which used a different scale) from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The NHTSA gave the Sonata a five-star rating overall and five stars for rollover and side impact protection. The IIHS has not yet completed their evaluation of it.

Driver assistance features like forward automatic emergency braking, front collision warning, pedestrian detection, and lane-departure warning are standard on both cars. Additionally, the Camry has rear-seat alert, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high lights as standard features.

Due to its superior U.S. News safety rating of 9.6 out of 10, as opposed to the Hyundai's 9.3 rating, the Toyota prevails in this round.

Toyota Camry

With good cause, these are two of the most well-liked sedans on the road. Both provide the newest safety and in-car technologies and are dependable, comfortable, and efficient. The Camry offers the correct features at the right price, a more roomy back seat area, stronger available engines, and an engaging driving experience.

Sonata is no pushover. For its price, it offers excellent value, effective powertrain options, and a premium cabin.
